Word coming out of Belfast City this morning is that with the clubs chances of getting promoted to EFL League One this season being rather high Artemis Beartrappe is already looking towards the future... and he has contacted two Northern Irish internationals about joining Belfast City once their contracts run out in the summer...

Firstly Chris Baird was contacted... and at the age of thirty three he only has a few years left in him... a drop down in levels could extend his career... he could either play alongside Jay Spearing in a defensive midfield role but is also able to play centre or right back and would be a fantastic addition to the team with the experience he has!!!

But the biggest of all acquisitions could be Chris Brunt... the Belfast City native could be the perfect fit for the team... with currently left back Rico Henry leaving in the summer after his season long loan has expired he would be the natural choice to replace him!!! His twenty thousand pound a week contract could be a stumbling block... but surely the thought of trying to get a club in his home nation into the Premier League would be anybody's dream!!! The former West Brom captain is currently playing at the highest level but with the competition at the club his starting place is under threat so a move to Belfast City could suit all parties!!!
