Belfast City continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2017/18 season with the signing of another great up and coming player in the form of Tom Davies from Everton... Davies joins Belfast City on a four year ten thousand pound a week contract... with the fee paid rumoured to be half a million pounds...

Tom Davies - is an English professional footballer who has played as a midfielder for Premier League club Everton and is the captain of the England national under-19 team...

Davies is an academy graduate of Everton, having joined the club at the age of 11 and signed his first professional contract on 30 September 2015... He was handed his Premier League debut by manager Roberto Martínez on 16 April 2016 in a 1–1 draw with Southampton at Goodison Park, entering the field of play as an 83rd-minute substitute for Darron Gibson... On the final day of the Premier League season, following the sacking of Martínez, Davies was handed his first start for Everton by interim manager David Unsworth in a 3–0 win over Norwich... His performance over the course of the 90 minutes earned him the Man of the Match award...  Davies signed a new five-year contract with Everton in August 2016... Having previously featured from the substitute's bench, he made his first start of the season on 2 January 2017 and registered his first assist for the club in a 3–0 win over Southampton... He scored his first Everton goal 13 days later in a 4–0 league victory over Manchester City and was also awarded Man of the Match... Having impressed in his debut season with Everton, Davies was awarded a new five-year contract on 3 April 2017... On 9 April, Davies scored the joint-fastest goal for the Premier League season when he netted after just 30 seconds in a 4–2 win over reigning champions Leicester...

Davies has represented England up to under-19 level... On 7 October 2015, he was invited by England manager Roy Hodgson to train with the senior squad following his progression with the under-17 side... Just seven days later, he was named captain of the England under-17 team for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup which took place in Chile...
